Frequently Asked Questions

How long does my order take to ship?

Many of my pieces are made to order, and some items are kept in small batches.

  • In-stock items usually ship within 1–2 business days

  • Custom and made-to-order pieces can typically be completed within 10 business days

Because I’m a one-woman shop and often working on multiple custom orders at once, I’ll always confirm timing with you before getting started. I’ll ask for the date you need your order and do my best to make it happen.

During busy seasons or holidays, turnaround times may be slightly longer — I’ll always be clear and upfront about that.

Do you offer custom or personalized items?

I do! Many of my pieces can be personalized or customized in a simple, guided way.

Custom orders can typically be turned around within 10 business days, but I’ll always confirm timing before starting your order. I know these pieces are often for special occasions, and I’ll work with you to make sure the timing feels right.

Custom doesn’t have to be complicated.

Will I see a mock-up before my custom item is made?

Yes — for custom pieces, I’ll send a mock-up for approval before your item is made.

The design will be texted or emailed to you so you can review wording and layout. Once you approve the mock-up, I’ll get started on making your piece.

Is everything really handmade?

Yes. Every piece is handmade by me, with care.

I create most of the designs myself and thoughtfully select others that align with my style and standards. Each piece is cut, finished, and assembled by hand, which means natural variations in wood grain, color, and finish are part of what make each piece unique.

Where are you located?

Valley Grown Handcrafts is based in Stanwood, Washington.

Occasionally, you’ll find me vending at local markets in the Skagit Valley, and I’m proud to be part of this community while shipping handmade pieces to customers across the U.S.
